When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged about a week before your kit ships. (This gives us time to print the  invoices and pack the kits.) Kits ship on the first day of each month, or in the case of Sundays and holidays, the first postal day of the month. The charge will say The Scrap Pack, Inc.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we can ship to any country that the United States Postal Service serves, which is just about everywhere.

How and when are kits shipped?
In the US, kits are shipped via Priority Mail. Internationally, kits are shipped via International Priority Mail. Your kit will be shipped on the 1st of the month, or the first postal day in the month.

How much is shipping? How long will it take?
Kit shipping charges are the actual shipping cost charged by the United States Postal Service. This is based on your zip code (or country) and the weight of the kit package. Kit packages typically weigh 2 or 3 pounds and cost from $4.60 to $9 (in the U.S.) to ship depending on where you live. We ship from Illinois (zip code 62009) and it typically takes 3 to 5 days in the U.S.

Can I buy a past kit without being a Member?
Yes! A limited number of kits are available in the Shopping Area. Some kits are sold out and will not be reproduced. You must register on the Join the Club form. To access the web site without committing to purchasing monthly kits, select "Non Member" when you join.

Can I buy just one kit without being a Member?
Yes! You can buy a past kit in the the Shopping Area and you can pre-order the upcoming kit on the My Kit page. To shop or pre-order a kit, you must register on the Join the Club form. To access the web site without committing to purchasing monthly kits, select "Non Member" when you join.

Kits are available to non-members on a first-come, first-served basis. Kits will be shipped to all members first, and then any remaining kits will be shipped to non-members who have confirmed a kit order.

How much does it cost?
It is free to join the ScrapGoods™ club. For each kit you buy, the Base Kit price is $20 for Members and $22.50 for Non-Members, plus shipping costs. For large kit months, each kit option you add to your order adds to the kit cost. Members receive 10% off all kit options.

Past kits in the Shopping Area are pre-bundled together and cannot be customized. The kit price and the list of contents is listed for each available kit.

Do I have to buy a certain number of kits or join for a certain amount of time?
Members do not have to commit to remaining a member for 6 months, 12 months, etc. If you join as a Member, we will continue sending you kits each month until you let us know you wish to cancel your membership. However, we limit the number of times you can skip kits. If you join as a Non-Member, we will only send you a kit if you confirm a kit order on the My Kit page, or order separately from the Shopping Area.

What are the benefits to joining as a Member?
Members automatically receive kits each month at a 10% discount. Members can customize their monthly kit from the My Kit page, as well as add items to their kit from the Shopping Area and place other orders to be shipped separately from their kits. If you do not customize your kit, we will automatically customize it for you with all the options (so you will still get all the papers and goodies, but your gadget preference still applies). As a Member, you are guaranteed a kit will be in stock for you each month. We will continue sending you kits each month until you let us know you wish to cancel your membership.

Members also receive Bonus Points for purchases, new member referrals, and posts on our Message Forums. Bonus points can be used to buy goods in our Shopping Area.

Members also have a monthly chance to receive a RAK (Random Act of Kindness). In the middle of each month, 10% of ScrapGoods members receive a free bonus gift in the mail.

What's the deal with different kits on different months? Do I need last month's kit to use this?
Every month, the technique pack includes any tools or products you need to try the monthly technique, plus a selection of exclusive ScrapGoods™ products such as templates, stamps, embellishments, and chipboard, plus the technique newsletter. The technique pack does not include cardstocks or patterned papers, but you can choose to add these options each month.

On odd-numbered months (January, March, May, July, September, November), the kit has Cardstock, Patterned Paper, Stamp, and Extra Embellishment options. Choose any, all, or none of these options on the My Kit page. If you do not customize your kit, we will send you all the options by default unless you let us know otherwise. We will use the Gadget Preference you select when you join to determine whether or not to send you the gadget.

On even-numbered months (February, April, June, August, October, December), the technique is essentially different, but it further elaborates on the technique from the previous month or gives you another, expanded way to try it. This kit includes all the tools and products you need to explore the new version of the technique and the previous month's kit is not required to use it. A new patterned paper option is not available on this month, but all other options (Cardstock, Stamp, Extra Embellishment, and Gadget) are new. If you do not customize your kit, we will send you all the options by default unless you let us know otherwise. We will use the Gadget Preference you select when you join to determine whether or not to send you the gadget.

I live outside the US and shipping for small kits is expensive. Can I get two kits at once?
To keep shipping costs for international members down, we are willing to ship two kits together every other month to reduce shipping costs. Please contact us if you are interested in this option.

Do you have any guarantees? What if I don't like it?
We are certain that you willl look forward to receiving ScrapGoods each month. If not, you can cancel your membership for any reason within 30 days. You can return your first kit for a full refund (minus shipping costs), or keep your first kit and still discontinue your membership.

Can I return a kit?
If you are unhappy with any kit, you may return it within 10 days for a credit towards your next kit (minus shipping costs). Returned kits do not count as part of your membership agreement. Before returning a kit, you must contact us to get a return authorization so that we are expecting the package and know who to credit. The kit must be unused and securely repackaged in sellable condition or you will be charged a 20% repacking fee.

Can I skip a kit?
Yes, you may skip a kit. You must notify us that you wish to skip the kit at least one week in advance (by the 25th of the month) to stop the automatic shipment. Because membership commitments allow us to project how many kits we need to order and prepare, a Member who needs to skip more than two kits in a calendar year will change to Non-Member status.

Are your products photo safe?
We strive to ensure that all papers, adhesives, and embellishments are acid-neutral and archivally safe. We want our works to last a long, long time! We do use a lot of bulky items and metals (which can show age over time) on our pages.

How does the monthly gadget work?
If a specific tool is required to complete the month's main technqiue, it will be included with the kit. The monthly gadget is something that complements the kit or a commonly used tool. We recognize that some people may already have this gadget and wouldn't want a large portion of their kit cost wrapped up in a tool they don't need. So, each month you can choose whether or not you want this extra item. There is an additional charge for this extra gadget, and the price varies each month based on the item.

The monthly gadget is announced on the 7th for the following month's kit. This gives you about 2 weeks to decide if you would like to add the gadget to your kit.

When you join ScrapGoods™, you choose a gadget preference: The Goods or Goods Add Gadget.

  • If you choose The Goods, you will not receive the gadget unless you log on and tell us to add it to your kit. To add the featured gadget to your kit, log in to the Web site by the 25th and check the checkbox for the gadget on the My Kit page.
  • If you choose Goods Add Gadget, you will receive the gadget unless you log on to the Web site and customize your kit. To stop shipment of the gadget for that month’s kit, log in to the Web site before the 25th and clear the checkbox for the gadget on the My Kit page. If you do log on and view your kit and decide you want the gadget, make sure the checkbox for the gadget is checked.

Can I add additional items to my kit?
Yes. In addition to the gadget and monthly specials shown on the My Kit page, you can also add items from the Shopping Area to your kit. Your shipping cost may increase. You can see the shipping weight for each item and your total shipping charge by adding the item to your kit order. You can then review your total order and modify it before you confirm your order.

What are bonus points? Can I really get stuff for free?
Every kit and every other item that you purchase earns bonus points. So do things like referring new members and posting a lot on the Message Forums. And yes, bonus points can be redeemed for any product or kit available in the Shopping Area!

Can I change my address or credit card information?
You can change your address or billing information at any time using our secure online form.

  1. Log in and go to the Shopping Area.
  2. Click the My Account link on the top right.
  3. Type any information that has changed. You can leave any fields that do not need to be changed blank.
  4. Click the Update Info button. Changes are not made immediately. Please allow a few days for changes to take effect.

What if I can't remember my password?
If you have misplaced your password, send an e-mail to support@scrapgoods.com and we will send it to you.

How can I change my password?
To change your password, use the secure online form available in the members-only area.

  1. Log in and go to the Shopping area.
  2. Click the My Account link on the top right.
  3. Type your new password in the Password and Confirm fields. Leave all the other fields blank.
  4. Click the Update Info button. Changes are not made immediately. Please allow a few days for changes to take effect.

How long is my membership?
You do not have to commit to 6 months, 12 months, etc.. We will continue sending you kits each month until you let us know you wish to cancel your membership. You won't need to do anything to keep the kits coming, but you must let us know if you decide to stop receiving kits.

How can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership by emailing or calling us. To avoid receiving the next automatic shipment, you must cancel by the 10th of the month. You should receive an email confirmation of the cancellation.

What is your "angel policy" for using or selling items made with ScrapGoods images?
You may use ScrapGoods(tm) stamps or templates in works that you make for or sell to others in limited quantities.

  • If you sell the product to others, you must credit the image by including the text:
    Copyright (c) ScrapGoods/The Scrap Pack, Inc.
  • All stamp or template usage must be made by hand and no mechanical or other form of reproduction is permitted.
  • To use the image more than 50 times, contact The Scrap Pack for commerical licensing terms.

You may not make any rubber stamp, template, or other pattern of any kind that includes a ScrapGoods(tm) image or design without written permission from The Scrap Pack. You may not copy any design, image, or article for reprint in any book, article, or collection without written permission from The Scrap Pack. For other uses, please contact The Scrap Pack.

Do you have an affiliate program? How can I start selling ScrapGoods?
ScrapGoods Affiliates are generally ScrapGoods members who love the products and want to share their enthusiasm with others. By showing ScrapGoods kits and products to others either in your home, at a scrapbooking show or crop, or on your own web site, you can help spread the word to other scrapbookers and crafters. As a ScrapGoods Affiliate, you can receive a commission for each new member that you sign up for a ScrapGoods membership, and you can resell ScrapGoods kits. Call us for details on the ScrapGoods Affiliate Program.

Do you offer any classes?
Yes, we now have classes in our Benld, IL facility. You do not need to be a ScrapGoods member to attend classes. Check here for class schedules and more information.
